SWEET AND SOUR SHRIMP 

Ingredients (2 servings)

  • ½ lb shrimp * (peeled & deveined)

  • 1/2 cup pineapple chunks

  • 1 stick carrot (sliced) 

  • 1/2 small onion (wedged) 

  • 1/2 medium green bell pepper (diced)

  • 4 tbsp Asian Menu™ Sweet & Sour Sauce 

  • 1 tbsp oil

* You can substitute the shrimp with chicken, beef, pork, scallops or vegetables.

Preparing it (7 minutes)

  1. Remove shells from shrimp and de-vein.

  2. Remove excess water from shrimp.

  3. Peel and slice carrot on a bias.

  4. Cut onions into wedges.

  5. Cut green bell pepper into 1 inch dice.

Cooking it (7 minutes)

  1. Blanch carrots, onions and green bell peppers in boiling water for 10 seconds.

  2. Heat oil in skillet or wok over high heat until hot (approx. 350°F).

  3. Stir fry shrimp until almost done, then set aside.

  4. Heat Asian Menu™ Sweet and Sour Sauce in skillet or wok until bubbly hot.

  5. Add vegetables, shrimp and pineapple. Toss until sauce fully coats food.
