sweet and sour pork chinese recipe
Chunks of pork deep fried until crispy and golden brown then tossed with chunks of pineapples, peppers and carrots in with a sweet and sour sauce.
Ingredients (2 servings)
  • 1 cup oil
  • ½ lb pork *
  • 4 oz pineapple chunks
  • 2 oz carrots
  • 2 oz onions
  • 2 oz green bell pepper
  • ¼ cup your favorite crispy batter
  • 4 tbsp Asian Menu™ Sweet & Sour Sauce and Glaze
* You can substitute the pork with beef, chicken, shrimp, scallops or vegetables.

Preparing it (7 minutes)
  1. Cut pork into small cubes.
  2. Remove excess water from pork.
  3. Coat pork with batter.
  4. Peel and slice carrots.
  5. Cut onions into wedges.
  6. Cut green bell peppers into wedges.

Cooking it (7 minutes)
  1. Batter & deep fry pork until fully cooked then set aside.
  2. Use skillet to simmer Sweet & Sour sauce, peppers, pineapples and onions at medium heat until slightly soft.
  3. Add pork and toss until sauce evenly coats pork.
